Tournaments, Irma Cup, Solheim Cup, SNEWGA: Join in the fun in 2026!

Weekly Tournament play: Wednesday and weekends...something new every week! You will find the schedule on the brochure, the locker room bulletin board, and printed on the score cards each time you show up to play. We keep changing the tournaments to keep you on your toes!

Major Tournaments: There are four major tournaments each year and we encourage everyone to participate!

Irma Cup: In addition to the weekly tournaments, we hold a fun match play event in honor of one of our former members, Irma Salad.  Participation is optional.  The bracketed event runs season long and we'd like 32 players to sign up.  If we get enough participation we’ll run two brackets (A and B) based upon handicap.  Golfers play one match a month with the winner proceeding to the next month’s match.  The brackets will be on the locker room bulletin board. Cost is $5 (cash only).  Please see Jenny Burrill for more information.

Solheim Cup: Modelled after the pro golfer version, Rockledge fields a team of golfers and challenges one (or more) clubs to a structured golf match: the outcome is determined by the number of holes you win, not the total score.  The format changes from year to year to keep things interesting: best ball of the team, shamble, scramble etc.  We are currently in our 5th year of competition with Timberlin Golf Course in Southington and we are the defending champions!  This year’s game is scheduled for Sept ____ at ______________Golf Club

SNEWGA: Rockledge Women's Golf Group members are invited to participate in SNEWGA (Southern New England Women's Golf Association) events that are sponsored by women's golf leagues throughout CT and southern New England. Mary Gillette is our liaison and is recruiting for 2026 and any one can play! This is an opportunity to meet other RWGG ladies, create a foursome and play SNEWGA tournaments at other clubs...great fun!
