SNEWGA News: Pro Lady tourney was played at Rockledge 9/16 with our own Maureen Hannon, Mary Gillette, Jude Kravitz and Josh!

SNEWGA Pro Lady Tournament was played at Rockledge on 9/16…quite the honor to host this wonderful event. Maureen Hannon, Mary Gillette, Jude Kravitz and Josh Moses were our entered team and they came in 3rd Low Net!!! Go team! Josh placed third in the pro flight with a score of 79…the winning pro scored at 76 so hooray to Josh for a great showing! The course was in great condition and very fast! Watch out to all the players in tomorrow’s Member Member tournament!

In the Annual Tournament in which SNEWGA plays CT Women's Golf Association in Match Play, the 20-women SNEWGA team defeated CWGA 106 to 74. We had three RWGG players on the SNEWGA team: Ann Ahern, Cindy Brogan and Jenny Burrill!  This 106 - 74 victory was SNEWGA'S 3rd straight win in a row and the series is tied 21 - 21.

Ellie Large won the Senior Championship with a gross score of 74 at the Vue in Hamden!

Tournament of Champions was held at the Hartford Golf Club and Ellie Large came in 3rd Low Gross and Mary Ellen McKeon was in the money at 8 Low Net!

Congratulations to TEAM ROCK. We sent 3 teams to the Team Day competition at H Smith Richardson golf course in Fairfield CT.  The team of Ann Ahern, Brooke Goff, Jude Kravitz and Mary Ellen McKeon came in 1st Low Net. The team of Jenny Burrill, Barbara Corcoran, Ellie Large and Cindy Pegg placed 3rd Low Gross.  In addition, Barb Collins was closest to the pin on one of the competition Par 3's.  A good time was had by all in spite of some wet weather.  We hope more of you will consider joining SNEWGA next year. 

SNEWGA Memorial Cup: Congratulations go to the winning team of:  Ann Ahern, Jenny Burrill, Sandy Gifford and Jude Kravitz for coming in First Low Net and winning the Perpetual Cup on behalf of Rockledge at the SNEWGA Memorial Tournament.  This event was held at Silo Point Country Club at Heritage Village in Southbury Connecticut.  This is the 1st time that Rockledge has won the trophy.  The trophy, once engraved with our win, will be on display in the Pro Shop for the remainder of the season.
